Experian Offers Mortgages Advice

Experian, one of the largest credit reporting bureaus is offering mortgages advice to home owners facing possible foreclosure. The company detailed several options that are currently available to these consumers in their latest report on mortgages advice. Many home owners are left not knowing where to turn and have no idea on what they can do to improve their credit scores to help increase their chances of getting a refinance plan.James Jones, Consumer Education Manager at Experian, comments: “More than a million people will be coming to the end of fixed-rate mortgage deals this year, and Experian is already seeing increasing numbers of people checking their own credit report before applying for credit. Quite understandably, consumers are taking much more interest in their credit status.” The company recommended that consumers, “Make sure you’re registered on the electoral roll at your current address – not being registered could put a dent in your credit score.”Experian had several other pieces of mortgages advice, including keeping close tabs on your credit report to make sure that there are not any errors that would drive your score down further. Right now, banks are paying close attention to credit ratings, and the best mortgages advice you can get is to keep your score as high as possible.
